Each picture is made of polymer clay and copper; finished in either a frame or on Australian timber plaque. The copper is oxidized to obtain a whole pallet of colours. Then it is coated with many layers of copper lacquer, which prevents it from tarnishing. Black polymer clay is used for all designs. After hardening it by backing, it is painted with acrylic or metallic paints and finally varnished. Each picture is a one off item and entirely unique.
The most popular themes include animals (mostly, but not only Australian): kangaroos, wombats, koalas, echidnas, frogs, turtles, emus, kookaburras, blue wrens, owls, camels, cats, chooks etc.
Abstract compositions are another way of expression for Malgorzata.
